Narrative Portfolio

Areas of Expertise

I design stories that respond to audience participation, creating narratives where player choice, branching paths, and emotional consequences shape the experience. Whether mapping story logic or crafting interactive scenes for games, I approach narrative as a dynamic system rather than a linear script.

Interactive Narrative Design

Great stories live or die by their characters. My background in playwriting, screenwriting, and interactive entertainment has taught me to write distinctive voices, emotionally grounded dialogue, and character-driven moments that feel authentic across a variety of genres and formats.

Character Voice & Dialogue

I've written for beloved franchises with passionate fan communities, developing stories that honor established canon while introducing fresh characters, conflicts, and emotional stakes. I enjoy the creative challenge of capturing an existing world's voice, tone, and mythology while contributing something new.

Writing for Established IP

I'm fascinated by how new technologies are transforming storytelling. From new branching narrative tools and imagining new ways of designing interactive experiences to embracing the impact of new technologies on team workflow, I enjoy exploring how our tools can deepen engagement while keeping character and story at the center.

I enjoy helping creative teams thoughtfully integrate emerging technologies into their workflows, balancing innovation with a deep respect for the craft of storytelling. At the heart of every great story are human insights, empathy, and imagination. I believe AI is most valuable when used thoughtfully and ethically. I’m most interested in its use to support better collaboration, more efficient workflows, and new ways of designing engaging narrative experiences. I encourage AI to be used as a tool in a team’s toolkit and a problem-solver without becoming a replacement for artists and creative work.

Emerging Narrative Technologies

The best stories are built together. Throughout my career, I’ve partnered with designers, producers, engineers, educators, composers, animators, actors, QA leads, and more. Working with creative teams, I have learned how we all must work together bringing in our unique expertise to understand and tell the same story.

I thrive in cross-team collaboration and find the process of translating narrative ideas into engaging experiences and balancing creative vision with practical implementation to be incredibly rewarding.

Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

I love building worlds that feel lived in. From developing lore documents and narrative foundations to maintaining continuity across complex stories, I create settings, histories, and narrative frameworks that can guide teams in their game develop and can invite audiences to explore and invest in the worlds they inhabit.

Spotlit Projects

Silent Hill: Ascension

Silent Hill: Ascension is a mind-bending, interactive streaming series following the complex lives of two families in peril, linked by a series of unnerving visions and terrifying monstrosities that hound them to the brink of damnation.

As a Narrative Writer, I developed branching story content for the Emmy Award-winning live interactive horror experience, expanding the iconic Silent Hill universe through character-driven storytelling and player choice. The six-month global event invited audiences to shape the canon through hundreds of narrative decisions, creating a unique blend of cinematic storytelling, interactive design, and fan participation.

LOVESICK

The story takes place in the all-new Earth-212, where the audience will determine how the Justice League forms and what kind of Super Heroes they will be.

When the story of Earth-212 begins our favorite Super Heroes and Super-Villains remain in the shadows, largely unknown to one another and mostly serving as legend and rumor to civilians. The appearance of the magical Tower of Fate in Gotham City thrusts these fledgling heroes into the spotlight – together and in opposition.

As a Junior Writer, I supporting bringing beloved DC Comics characters into an interactive storytelling experience. My work focused on creating engaging interactive story beats, emotional stakes, and character choices within a globally recognized superhero universe.

Mercy

Developed by Rose City Games and co-published by Lyrical Media, LOVESICK is a New-Weird exploration of a band on the brink of collapse. Set against the backdrop of the late 1990s, the game combines elements of raw storytelling, surreal visuals, and escape room inspired puzzle-solving to create a completely unique VR game.

“I found it really quite moving and, you know, just important to see how these indie driven creators and projects are still experimenting with what's possible with VR.”
— Kent Bye, Voices of VR

DC Heroes United

Award-winning screenplay exploring grief, mortality, and the complicated inheritance between parents and children.

”Overall, Weatherhead had constructed a strong, simple, and psychological study of death and the mentality of killing. A bold, tough piece with lots of clever detail.”
–Annie Knox, Lonely Wolf Film Fest’s Review

Stories built from the moments we remember, the places that hold us, the traits we inherit, the worlds we imagine, and the choices that shape who we become.
